Default For King and Country! -An English P&M AAR.

Made this because I'm really bored and there is a lack of AAR's with MTW. The Gamedifficulty is Medium (Difficulty in P&M is harder than in original MTW) and the mod is Pike&musket 1.5, patched. Unit setting is small. (large in P&M)

For King and Country! -An English AAR.

    England at 1572:

England's power has detiorated over time. We lost our holdings in France, Ireland and Scotland are free countries once again and our military power and economy is under threat. Even my persona has downgraded in the view of other leaders. My provinces, such as Northumbria, have become waspnests for anarchists and rebels. Even some of my generals and lords are unloyal to me, as my spies have confirmed.

I must act fast. We must have allies on the mainland. Our old enemies France, the powerful Spain and the rich Netherlands seem like good candidates. My main goals now are to stabilize England and prepare to attack the Scots and Irish. England will be great again.

-Edward the Second, king of England.

This looks brilliant! I haven't seen a Medieval I: Total War AAR in a long time. The best of luck to you!

Should be interesting, especially now when I am implementing the new map finished yesterday.

I can only regret I cannot set up the historically accurate rulers, but there are many traps while it is done and it might end up with Elizabeth I taking throne with randomly chosen male portrait...

    Good luck !

Although expert level is advisable it should be challenging enough.

    Late update, sorry.

    1573, The King's diary.

So far, things have gone good. I have sent most of my troops to Merica along with myself, the High Chancellor and the Archbishop of Canterbrury. Northumbria still is very unloyal, so is Lord Courtnay the regent. He gives me shifty looks and has a simply annoyed attitude.

On the plus side: The Danes have offered us an alliance. Considering their power in Northern Europe, this could be profitable.

I'm training some Pikemen in Wessex, I'll be using that as my military base. My border scouts have informed me that we, hilariously enough, are militarily inferior to the Scots. No matter. My army will be stronger.

    -------------------------------------------------

    1574, King's diary

Great news! The Dutch have accepted our alliance. Both of our nations will now flourish!

My forces are still gathering at Mercia. Our number of soldiers there is roughly 1000 soldiers but still not enough. I have split my forces in two, one part of the army led by me and another by the High Chancellor Lord Hawkings who is a loyal and intelligent man. He is the one I can certainly entrust to lead my troops forward.

I am desperate for soldiers now. Apart from the levied Pikemen being trained at London I have ordered my regional leaders at the borders to look for Border Reivers, mercenaries, to recruit. They may not be trustworthy but certainly better than adolescent boys with pointy sticks.
