the best medieval mod for m:tw?

i cant wait to m:2 tw to get released in my country so i bought very very cheap m:tw, i find it a little arcade in some parts, just like rtw, but in rtw i was experienced with all mods so i could customize the way i like

i cant browse through all post to see whats the best mod, so, tell me which what mod/mods you got the more satisfying experience with m:tw

Personally I prefer VikingHorde's XL for VI. Although WesW MedMod and BKB's Super mod are good too.

there are still others, like Fall of Rome, Hellenic Total War, NTW, PMTW, and Samurai 7.0, all are great mod for MTW1.

XL mod is a fine mod, feels like a buffed out Vannila. WesMod is better I think because I like the HUGE variety of units and the vast number of changes and new provs.

I hate the map though. Shoddy to say the least.

XL is nice but there arent enough regions, its kind of crammed ex., Norway and Sweden dont have any regions between them. I would still recomend any of these Mods over the Vanilla however. Oh, you will need a good comp. to play Medieval 2, the game lags and loads very slowly on my comp. which ran Rome fine. If you have a good comp. go ahead then tho, and support Wrath of the Norsemen, its been moving along very fast.

Wesmod is my favorite, specially if you like the french, english and germans. They are lots of fun with that mod.

The only mod I played for Medieval: Total War, was the XL Mod by VikingHorde, it is a very good mod though! ; )

pmtw!!! it kicks ***! xl is good but theres not enough unit changes. bkb mod is good but the map looks kinda crappy(no offence) but is uits are good.
pmtw is definitely the best.
