Launcher problem

Not sure if there is anyone here any more but the launcher does not seem to work. I want to play it in German, but you see, it doesn't do anything when I click the exe.

I just tried mine and strangely I have the same issue. But it has launched fine from the exe.bat and I can as far I can see load all saves and start fresh campaigns.
But I can not switch languages.

I spoke too soon.

Upon loading the saved campaign, I am using Reshade 3.8, but never had problems such as this.

The loading screen and menus were almost blocked out by a 'fog'.
It is strange that something should change now. It is not as though Kingdoms has received attention from CA in many many decades

I checked the launcher and it switches language as advertised. You may have to run the exe by right clicking and choosing 'run as admin'.

If you are having no luck then simply copy the contents of the 1648_2\data\text-DE directory into the 1648_2\data\text directory

As to the reshader: no clue, really

Since this thread is here and I don't want to create a new thread, I am also having issues with the launcher not launching. I am using Windows 10 and I have tried compatibility mode (running with Windows XP) and running as administrator.
